2026/2027 Competition Auditions
At Motion Works Dance we work to provide our dancers with all of the necessary resources to be their personal best and encourage students to challenge their skills by participating in competitions.
The competition teams will be determined by auditions and merit. We plan to tailor the team to the skill level and interest each year.

We’re excited to kick off the audition process for our 2026-2027 Competition Team! This two-week format gives dancers the time to learn, review, and perform with confidence. Here’s everything you need to know:
AGE GROUPS
• Mini - 5 - 8
• Junior - 9 - 12
• Teen - 13 - 18
LEARN DAY - Friday, May 8th | 4:45-5:30 & 5:30-7:30 PM
Dancers will learn combos in Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater, rotating by age group. Each style is taught once for 30 minutes.
Studio open at 4:00 PM
Studio B (Mini)
4:45-5:30 PM - Jazz & Lyrical
Studio A (Junior)
Studio B (Teen)
5:30–6:00 PM - Jazz
6:00–6:30 PM - Lyrical
6:30–7:00 PM - Musical Theater
7:00–7:30 PM - Hip Hop
Videos of all combos will be posted following Learn Day so dancers can practice at home if needed.
REVIEW DAY - Saturday, May 9th | 10:45-11:30 & 11:30-1:30 PM
Dancers will review the same four combos in the same format to reinforce retention and confidence.

1:30-2:00 PM - Solo Auditions
Dancers will audition in rotating small groups. We may ask groups or dancers to perform again if needed.
During solo auditions dancer will perform the style of combo they are auditioning for and be giving an opportunity to show us any additional skills.
