At Motion Works Dance we work to provide our dancers with all of the necessary resources to be their personal best and encourage students to challenge their skills by participating in competitions.

The competition teams will be determined by auditions and merit. We plan to tailor the team to the skill level and interest each year.

2024/2025 Competition Team Auditions

June 12th & 19th, 2024

    ◦    Auditions will take place Wednesday June 12th & 19th from 5:30-8:00. Combos will be taught the 12th and auditioned the 19th.

Learning

They will learn combos, then we will provide YouTube links to practice with. The schedule will be as follows:
   ◦    5:30-6:00 - Ballet Warm up (for everyone)
   ◦    6:00-6:30 - Lyrical
   ◦    6:30-7:00 - Musical Theater
   ◦    7:00-7:30 - Jazz
   ◦    7:30-8:00 - Hip Hop
   ◦    7:00-8:00 - Parent Meeting

    Wednesday June 19th, 2024

Auditions

At auditions we will warm up, run combos, then have a quick meeting.
   ◦    5:30-6:00 - Skills Warm Up (for everyone)
   ◦    6:00-6:30 - Lyrical
   ◦    6:30-7:00 - Musical Theater
   ◦    7:00-7:30 - Jazz
   ◦    7:30-8:00 - Hip Hop
   ◦    8:00-8:30 - Meeting
   
   ◦    Dancers can audition for 1 or all styles of dance. They are not required to audition for all styles of dance.
   ◦    8 years old & up must have a split to audition for jazz and lyrical styles of dance.
